SteamDrops Referral System FAQ

We're excited to announce our brand new Referral System! You can now invite your friends to SteamDrops and earn free Steam game keys for doing so. Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions:

How does the referral system work?

Every user gets a unique referral link (found in your Account Settings > Referrals tab). When a new user clicks your link and signs up for SteamDrops, they are counted as your invite! Once you reach the required number of invites, you'll earn a Reward Token that can be redeemed for a free Steam key.

Where can I find my referral link?

Head over to your Profile, click on Settings, and then navigate to the Referrals tab. You'll see your unique link ready to be copied and shared!

How many people do I need to invite to get a game?

You can check your progress at any time on the Referrals tab. The page will show you exactly how many invites you currently have, and how many more you need to unlock your next reward.

Are the games random?

Yes! Our referral rewards pull from a pool of high-quality premium Steam games. When you claim your reward, the specific game is revealed to you, and it will be permanently added to your Key History list.

What happens if I claim a key, but don't reveal it yet?

The key is safely reserved for you in your account. You can view your Key History on the Referrals tab to see all your claimed rewards. You can reveal the actual Steam key whenever you're ready to activate it or give it to a friend!

Will the person I invite know I referred them?

No personal information is shared with the person clicking your link. They will simply land on the SteamDrops homepage, and our system securely tracks the referral in the background.

Why is the "Claim Reward" button disabled?

If we temporarily run out of stock in our referral key pool, the claim button will show up as "Temporary Unavailable". Don't worry! Your invites are still securely tracked, and you will be able to claim your reward as soon as administrators restock the pool.
