General Site-wide

• #1 SteamDrops is aimed at a general audience. All content must be appropriate. Explicit, vulgar language, drug talk, nudity, pornographic material, and similar content is not allowed on the site.

• #2 Do not mini-mod. We encourage members to use the report button for rule violations, but do not add your own criticism or attempt to enforce rules yourself.

• #3 All publicly displayed content on forums is limited to English only. The only exception is multi-language subforums which exists for specific language groups.

• #4 Treat others positively and with respect. Harassment, flaming, personal attacks, or toxic behavior toward other members will result in a warning or ban.

Warning System

• #1 Members who violate the rules will be warned or banned depending on what the moderator deems appropriate.

• #2 Warnings accumulate on your account. Repeated violations will escalate to a giveaway ban or full site ban. Moderators may ban without prior warnings depending on the severity of the offense.

• #3 Warnings may have an expiration date. If set, the warning will automatically expire after the specified period. Permanent warnings do not expire.

• #4 If you believe a warning was issued unfairly, contact a moderator or open a support ticket. Responding with hostility or disrespect to the moderator who warned you will result in further action.

Forum Posting Etiquette

• #1 All topics must contain a clear and descriptive title and body. Low-effort or vague posts may be removed.

• #2 Topics must be submitted to the relevant forum. Read the forum descriptions before posting.

• #3 Do not hijack topics (going off-topic in someone else's thread).

• #4 Topic titles must be descriptive.

• • Good example: "Is there a way to filter giveaways by region?"
• • Bad example: "HEEELP!!!"

• #5 Bumping is allowed only if your reply adds relevant information to the discussion. Repeatedly bumping a topic with low-effort replies to push it to the front page is not allowed.

• #6 Use the edit button instead of double-posting if you are the last person to reply in a topic.

• #7 Excessive posting of similar or identical messages is not allowed.

• #8 Embedded images must be from whitelisted hosting providers (Imgur, Postimg, Giphy, Tenor). Non-whitelisted image URLs will be converted to plain links.

Spam and Self-Promotion

• #1 Do not post referral links, affiliate links, or promotional content anywhere on the site.

• #2 Links shared in forum posts or giveaway descriptions should be relevant and beneficial to the community. Links to payment, or that exist solely to generate ad revenue are not allowed.

• #3 Do not use giveaway descriptions or forum posts as advertising for external websites, Discord servers, or other platforms without staff approval.

Account and Profile Rules

• #1 Usernames must be appropriate and may not contain offensive, explicit, or misleading content.

• #2 Each person is allowed one account only. Duplicate accounts will be banned.

• #3 Do not attempt to exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the site. Report them through a support ticket instead.

Enforcement

Staff members reserve the right to take action on any behavior that is deemed harmful to the community, even if it is not explicitly covered by these rules. Decisions made by moderators are final. If you disagree with a decision, use the support ticket system — do not argue publicly in the forums.
